Manuscript Account Book, approx 200 pages all written
upon. Covered in a green leather covered board wrap
with marbled endpapers.Condition is Very Good plus-
the book is firm in its cover and with no significant
damage. I would suggest that this is a shop account
book, as it has entries for various names over a
number of pages each, suggesting that customers
bought on credit and then paid or "settled" perhaps
quarterly or bi-monthly. The range of goods offered
is great, one page showing lard,bacon,salt, a score
of eggs, 2 Gown pieces, lining for ditto, cotton and
pins, thread for Worstead, fresh pork, calico,wood
spoons,currants etc . Full of interesting detail .
