The book is bound in original decorative blue-green cloth over boards, rebacked, and embossed with a simple panelling design and with a black gilt label on the front board. The binding is still sound and firm. Internally lightly toned , front endpaper torn and repaired, with the bookplates of John Colston and another of the Evesham Institute "bequeathed by John Colson ESQ of Hampton Lodge 1878".
