006325746 ESTC Citation No. T53942 . This 1707
edition with the 1759 "Life" is bound in later C18th
or 19th half vellum with marbled boards and endpapers,
possibly bound when the "Life" volume was added.The
spines are in six sections with gilt bands and labels
in red morocco gilt. There are portraits in all
volumes and head and tail pieces . Complete as called
for. Externally the volumes are in their original
untouched condition. There is some wear to the date
labels and rubbing to the marbled boards and the top
edges of the text block are dusty. Internally the
books are very clean overall, with occasional thumbing
,light foxing to the first and last few leaves in each
volume and occasional damp staining.Ownership
inscription of I.Newton M.A.. Vol 1.has some
manuscript shelf notes on the verso of the t.p. Vol. 3
shaken in the binding gutter margin, but still
holding. These are extremely heavy volumes- shipping
at cost extra but in preference I would hope to
arrange delivery to a book fair near you......Please
