Lord Verulam Viscount St.Alban Whereunto is now added
a very usefull and neccessary Table. London, Printed
by R.Y. and R.H and are sold by R.Meigben neere the
Inner Temple gate Anno Domini 1641.Pp 248 .Bound on
full dark brown/black calf, professionally rebacked,
with spine in six compartments with red label gilt.
Bookplate and ownership inscriptions of Gilbert
Redgrave bibliographer and joint compiler of the
Short Title catalogue of Books (ESTC), president of
Bibliographic Society 1907. Also bears the signature
of Robert Molesworth (1656-1725) , active as an m.p.
in England and Ireland, appointed to the Irish Privy
council in 1697. Full bibliogrphy sold with the
book.Internally in very good original condition,
beautiful engraved title page, repaired in one corner
where signature has been removed, and with Marshall's
superb portrait of Bacon as frontis. Pages clean .
Gutter margins reinforced at front and rear, and
retaining rather stained original endpapers. A Very
Good copy, tidy and complete.
