No. R7177 Collates complete [10], 339, [1], 16, [8],
1-2, 10-11, 9-258, [2], 369-391, [1] p., [1] leaf of
plates (frontis ,Spenser's Tomb.] Bound in recent full
panelled calf, blind stamped. Spine in six
compartments , with morocco title label gilt. New
endpapers, contemporary ownership inscription of
Edward Vaughan 1679 on t.p and again elsewhere..Last
two leaves with edge repairs and last three leaves
with small holes with a couple of letters lost.
Marginal staining to a handful of leaves, small corner
lacking (paper flaw?) on frontis.Otherwise a clean
and pleasing copy.[Edward Vaughan ; possibly
Ed.Vaughan III, M.P for Montgomeryshire fron 1679
through until 1719 or "Edward Vaughan, d. 1683, of
Trawsgoed, Cardiganshire, Wales was the eldest son of
the chief justice Sir John Vaughan and Jane Stedman of
Strata Florida, became a student of the Inner Temple,
November 1653, where he was called to the Bar 1660. In
1677 edited his father's reports. He was member of
Parliament for Cardiganshire, 26 February 1678 to 28
March 1681, and was one of the Lords of the Admiralty.
His wife was Letitia, the daughter of Sir William
