MANUSCRIPT POETRY

MANUSCRIPT
1810
MANUSCRIPT volume of poetry with BUNGAY,Suffolk interest.Pp146 approx incl one blank. Circa 1810, vellum blank book, all pages filled with copies of poems and some original. One that appears original is written about the removal of Bungay Corn Cross (which was replaced by a pump) in 1810 , and another relates to the death of "a young officer who died lately from the consequences of a wound received in the attack of Buenos Aires under General Whitelock" which took place in 1807. Yet another poem is dated 1810 . There is a tiny indecipherable initial on the front vellum board. This is a nice thing; romantic and rural poetry in manuscript with some local interest for the researcher. Very Good + condition, although boards are warped .
