Two Volumes in maroon embossed cloth, gilt to
spine.Some foxing mainly to prelims, sellotape mark
on front pastedown vol one, similar in vol two with
dampstain to one corner of first few leaves, and
inner hinge weakened to rear of vol two. Still firm
and tidy bindings, a little fading to spines. A
fascinating collection of folklore and custom,
superstition and belief, much of it now
lost......Celebration replaced by "celebrity "
perhaps. A thundering good read.
