This entirely original and complete issue of The Pawnbroker's Gazette is printed on each side of six pages. Each of the twelve sides is printed in three columns, with a mixture of articles and advertisements. The front page has a nice ad. for the "J.G.Styles Gun, rifle and pistol makers." and other ads for pawnbrokers. Pages two, three and four has a long account of the meeting of the Metropolitan pawnbroker's society and there is Police Intelligence from all round the country with numerous cases, including thieves aged 10,11,14, and 6 stealing a pair of boots. Two are found guilty and sentenced to four strokes of the birch rod. Page eight has an excellent ad for Pontings Patent Writing Machines especially adapted for Pawnbrokers' Duplicate or Triplicate tickets with a large vignette and examples of "Fac-Simile of Ticket Written by the Machine". There are other ads and articles throughout the paper which is in Very Good condition, lightly toned only and with neat nicks in the spine from disbinding .
